Torquay Ext 50pts, Salcombe 10 Devon Two leaders Salcombe were outgunned in almost every department by the unbeaten front-runners in Devon Merit Table One.The Crabs did well to hold Torquay to a respectable 19-5 lead at the switch round, but struggled to contain them in the second half. Full-back Tony McCarthy was the only player to score more than one try as the rest were taken in singles.
Ryan Chivers, a prop who started at No.8 and finished up playing in the centre, got on the scoresheet, as did the hard running James Murray.

Other tries were claimed by props Russ Morris and Steve Smith, who came on as a replacement, Tom Winfield and hooker Matt Jarrett.
