This
was just the test Torquay needed before this weekends
semi final Devon colts cup match against
Crediton.
Wiveliscombe were well drilled, very determined and put Torquay under allot of pressure that forced them to make many errors that in the end lost them the game.

Torquay proved a little too strong for Barnstable on a grey cold afternoon. Although initially Barnstaple battled well and made life very difficult for the Tics.
Torquay again had some players missing and had to rearrange their back line and this at first made life hard as Barnstaple put the Torquay backs under pressure as they ran at them and kept the ball out wide. Torquay were slow to get going but it was a good backs move that Arren Graham finished that put Torquay into the lead. Con missed.
Barnstaple played their way back into the game and managed to pounce onto a loose ball following a good high kick in blustery conditions. This gave Barnstaple their try and with the conversion going over put them into the lead at the end of the half.
Torquay played better in the second half and with their back row players George Mills and Rory Williams making good ground on a number of occasions put Barnstaple on the back foot.
Torquay managed to score two more tries through George Mills and Ollie Hill who both finished well following a good faze of recycling from the Tics. Arren Graham converted George Mills try.
This was a good result for Torquay who managed to bounce back following their recent losses.
Cheers
