Fly half Tony McCarthy pointed the visitors in the right direction with a couple of penalties and then added the extras to tries from scrum half Dan Taylor and hooker Matt Jarrett.
Totnes' points came early in the second half. Full-back Joe Turner dotted down a try and fly half George Frankland slotted a penalty but this was as close as the home side got.
Visiting winger Tom Brookman went over in the corner, No. 8 James Spencer scored off the back of a scrum and front rower Paul Cartwright crashed over from short range to finish off a tap penalty move. McCarthy added the extras to Spencer's try.
