Taunton 13-9 Torquay
No doubt that the right side won this contest, although Taunton did their level best not to score in this match blighted by injuries, sin-binnings and indifferent decision making by the Home side in particular. Still Taunton won't complain given that Brixham walloped their promotion rivals and the Tic's impending Devon Cup nemesis Exmouth 20-0

Torquay
saw victory snatched from their grasp as they faded
away in the second half. It was all Torquay in the
first half with Matt Jackson slotting three penalties
for a wind-assisted 9-0 lead at the turn.
Right on
half time Taunton got on the board when prop Chris
Martin scuttled in under the posts for Jon Martin to
convert.
Ten minutes into the second half, Torquay
prop Nick Gill went into the sin-bin and Taunton took
the lead for the first time when Martin slotted the
resultant penalty.
Marton stroked over another ten minutes later, but
then missed a couple.
Both sides battled away for the rest of the game,
with Taunton having the better of the exchanges, but
neither team could score again despite ten minutes
time added on.
