Torquay had to show for their efforts against
Plymouth Albion's second string was a solitary
penalty midway through the first half from centre
Phil Maddick.
However, director of rugby Mike Macdonald was more
than happy with the way his side had performed in
their last warm-up match before welcoming new boys
Sidmouth to the Rec next Saturday for their opening
South West Two encounter.
Two of the Warriors' three converted tries were
gifted to them which had Macdonald commenting: "We
didn't help ourselves. We were chasing the game and
gave them points, the main difference between the two
sides was that Albion were far more clinical in their
finishing".
Macdonald went on to add: "I thought our pack did
very well in the line-outs, were on a par in the
scrums and overall it was a very good warm-up
exercise, in fact this match was so beneficial we
hope to repeat the fixture next pre
season."
